Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Who We Are
This privacy policy describes how Lyons Group (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects and uses personal information through the corporate website at lyonsgroup.com. Our business address is in Boston, Massachusetts.
Each Lyons Group venue (Alibi Bar & Lounge, Back Bay Social, Bar Enza, Bleacher Bar, Loretta’s Last Call, Rochambeau, Scampo, Sonsie, and others) is independently owned and operated and runs its own website with its own privacy practices. This policy applies to lyonsgroup.com only. If you submit information to a venue’s own site, that venue’s privacy policy governs.
What We Collect
Information You Submit Directly
When you fill out a form on this site — the Private Events inquiry form, the Work With Us inquiry form, or any other contact form — we collect what you give us:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (when provided)
- Company or organization name (events inquiries)
- Event details, date, headcount, budget range (events inquiries)
- Resume, work history, position interest (employment inquiries)
- Anything else you choose to include in the message field
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the site, our analytics service collects standard web traffic data:
- IP address (truncated for analytics)
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Pages visited, time on page, referral source
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- General geographic location (city / region level, derived from IP)
This data is collected via Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager. It only fires after you accept the analytics category in our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect payment card information through this corporate website. Reservations, tickets, gift cards, and any other transactions happen on individual venue websites or through third-party booking platforms (OpenTable, Resy, Tock, etc.) under those services’ own privacy policies. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit to:
- Respond to your inquiry and route it to the right person on our team
- Connect events inquiries with the relevant venue’s events coordinator
- Connect employment inquiries with the relevant venue’s hiring manager
- Reply to questions about a specific venue, group event, or career opportunity
- Improve the site and our services through aggregated analytics
- Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described in the next section.
How We Share Information
We share information only with parties who help us run the site and respond to your inquiries. These are limited to:
- Email delivery providers — we use SendGrid (Twilio) to deliver form submissions to the appropriate venue inbox. SendGrid processes the message under its own privacy commitments.
- Cloud infrastructure — the site and form data are hosted on Google Cloud Platform in U.S. data centers.
- Analytics — aggregated, pseudonymized usage data goes to Google Analytics 4 (only after you consent).
- The relevant venue — when you submit an inquiry tied to a specific venue (a private event at Scampo, a job at Bleacher Bar), the contents are forwarded to that venue’s team so they can respond.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
How Long We Keep Information
- Events inquiries: retained for 24 months from the event date (or, if no event was booked, 12 months from inquiry), then deleted. We may retain anonymized aggregate data longer for capacity planning.
- Employment inquiries: retained as required by federal and Massachusetts recordkeeping rules (currently three years for most application materials).
- General contact messages: retained for 12 months unless an active matter requires longer.
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months at the visitor level (the GA4 default) and indefinitely in aggregate form.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Lyons Group honors these rights for all visitors regardless of location:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Opt out of analytics — decline analytics cookies through the consent banner at any time.
- Withdraw consent — if processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting any prior lawful use.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland have rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through one of the inquiry forms below. We’ll verify your identity (typically by replying to the email address on file) and respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information — encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the relevant regulators as required by Massachusetts law (M.G.L. c. 93H) and any other applicable rules.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the site banner. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
